Character abilities

Passive

Impossible Angle

Whenever Veylor casts an ability, his next basic attack becomes a Paradox Shot. If a Paradox Anchor is nearby, the attack may originate from that Anchor instead of Veylor’s position. Enemies can see which Anchor is empowered before the shot fires.

Skill 1

Split Vector

Veylor launches a spatial projectile and chooses the distance at which it splits into two angled projectiles. If the projectile passes through a Paradox Anchor, the Anchor changes the split direction based on its position.

Skill 2

Paradox Shift

Veylor selects an active Paradox Anchor and, after a short preparation, swaps places with it. A spatial echo remains at his original position and later collapses, lightly damaging and slowing nearby enemies.

Skill 3

Reversal Gate

Veylor creates a narrow spatial gate. The first eligible enemy projectile that crosses it has its trajectory bent and deals reduced damage afterward. It cannot redirect major Ultimates, melee attacks, persistent area effects, or unstoppable abilities.

Ultimate

Closed Loop

Veylor activates up to three existing Paradox Anchors. With three Anchors, they form a visible triangular spatial zone. Crossing an edge briefly slows enemies and the first crossing displaces them slightly inward. Paradox Shots may bounce once between active Anchors. Destroying an Anchor breaks that section of the Loop.

Strengths

  • Extremely unusual attack angles
  • Exceptional objective-zone control
  • Very high skill expression
  • Strong choke-point pressure
  • Excellent setup potential
  • Powerful ability combinations
  • Can threaten enemies from unexpected positions
  • Strong defensive utility against projectiles
  • Rewards map knowledge
  • Excellent team-fight manipulation when prepared

Weaknesses

  • Extremely difficult to master
  • Low direct durability
  • Requires Anchor setup
  • Anchors can be destroyed
  • Poor setup greatly reduces his power
  • Limited straightforward burst damage
  • Vulnerable when Paradox Shift is unavailable
  • Fast unexpected fights can disrupt his game plan
  • Requires excellent positioning
  • Difficult to play while constantly retreating

THE STORY

The Paradox Warden

Veylor once guarded an ancient structure built around a fracture in space itself. For generations, its Wardens believed the fracture was a doorway. They were wrong. It was a place where distance had stopped obeying the normal rules of reality. When the structure collapsed, Veylor was caught inside. For an instant, he existed in several locations at once. He saw roads that had never been built, battles that had not happened, and doors leading to places behind themselves. When Veylor returned, space no longer behaved normally around him. He learned to create temporary points where distance folds. An attack launched from his hand can emerge somewhere else. A step forward can become a retreat. A projectile traveling toward him can suddenly find its path bent away. Veylor does not overwhelm opponents with raw strength. He wins by changing the geometry of the fight until the enemy no longer understands where danger is coming from.
