Character abilities

Passive

Rift Hunger

Damaging enemy champions with abilities applies a Rift Mark. At three marks, the mark detonates, dealing bonus damage, briefly slowing the target, and healing Thyraxis for a portion of the damage dealt.

Skill 1

Maw Crash

Lunge a short distance and slam the ground. Enemies in the center take area damage, are knocked up briefly, and receive a Rift Mark.

Skill 2

Graviton Roar

Release a void roar that distorts the surrounding area. Enemies take magic damage and are slowed. Already-marked enemies suffer a longer slow.

Skill 3

Rift Drag

Open a tearing pull in a targeted direction. Enemies are dragged slightly toward the rift line, damaged, briefly disrupted, and receive a Rift Mark.

Ultimate

Abyssal Collapse

Tear open a massive rift beneath a target area. After a brief delay, enemies are pulled inward and damaged. Enemies near the center are briefly rooted, while Thyraxis gains temporary damage reduction after casting.

Strengths

  • Extremely strong frontline presence
  • Excellent crowd control and zone denial
  • Great at starting team fights
  • Can isolate targets from their team
  • Hard to ignore once engaged
  • Strong objective control in tight spaces

Weaknesses

  • Large target and easy to focus
  • Limited mobility after committing
  • Struggles when kited from range
  • Needs timing and team follow-up
  • Can be punished if the engage misses
  • Less effective while abilities are on cooldown

THE STORY

The Rift Maw

Thyraxis was not born in the ordinary sense. It tore its way into existence through a collapsing rift where reality had weakened and old darkness pooled beneath the world. What emerged was not a beast nor a soldier, but a hunger given shape. Its body is layered with jagged armor-like growths and void-fed muscle, as if the battlefield itself forged a guardian for catastrophe. Where Thyraxis walks, the ground distorts, air bends inward, and weaker minds feel the pressure of being watched by something ancient and patient. It does not speak in language. It speaks in pull, impact, and the silence before collapse. To allies, Thyraxis is a wall that advances. To enemies, it is the moment the battlefield stops feeling safe.
